The Jewish Historical Society of Michigan helps to curate, collect and preserve a number of important historical records and documents. We are especially proud of our very own JHSM Yearbook Collection and Preservation Project. This is a collection of yearbooks, class pictures and reunion books dating from the early 20th century through present, representing schools from throughout the state of Michigan in which there was/is a Jewish presence.
Please help us assemble a list of names of those who served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Our records are fairly comprehensive for World War II veterans, but, we believe, are not up-to-date on subsequent wars. We want to honor those who have served our nation and record their years of service. If you or someone you know served, please fill out the form below. We are asking for the serviceman’s or servicewoman’s name, military branch, rank, the war and years served, and any honors received.Acknowledge Their Service
The Jewish Historical Society of Michigan maintains the Jewish Yearbook Collection, a treasure trove of more than 1,500 yearbooks from throughout the state of Michigan. Dating back to the early 20th century, the collection contains rare books from schools long gone and recent books from last year’s graduating class. This community resource is an on-going project. We will continue to expand the database and grow our collection thanks to the efforts of volunteers and donors.Donate a Yearbook
